Mechanical engineering
My main tasks are to know what is going on with every part of the team, and to decide, together with the board and HOD, in what direction the team should go, and how to meet the goals we set on the way.
As the Technical Lead of the team, my responsibility is to coordinate the efforts of each department, ensuring seamless collaboration so that all components come together to create a fully functional car.
Mathematics-Economics
I am responsible for creating an exciting business plan presentation at the Formula Student Germany competition. Besides this, I also actively seek out and contact companies and funds that we believe would be great partners, and therefore provide the team with great value.
International Business Communication
First and foremost, I am in charge of all our social media (Hello!). The marketing department is just me, so I find myself having a say in a lot of things that have nothing to do with the car but the team. Everything in terms of communication I have a say in. Newsletter to translations to visual branding, you name it, I have a say. Generally, I also try to make everyone on the team feel welcome and create a good and positive working environment.
BSc in Mechanical Engineering
I am one of the 6 founding members of the team, having a seat on our board, as well as being head of Driver Interface as my primary role. As head of Driver Interface, I oversee and am responsible for the design and production of every component that the driver interacts with, like seat, pedals, steering system, and harness. It is a smaller department consisting of 4 members, and so far, our main focus has been on studying and gaining information about the theory behind it and looking into what other teams have done.
BSc in Mechanical Engineering
In the team, my role is to be the Head of Bodywork. Within my department, I am responsible for overseeing the design and production of a lightweight, strong, and aerodynamic bodywork. The department consists of 5 members, and my role is to provide leadership and coordination to ensure we achieve the best possible results. Furthermore, my work also consists of communicating with the other departments to ensure alignment of our work.
BSc in Mechanical Engineering
Apart from being one of the 6 founding members of the team, and being part of the board, my primary role is head of the Suspension department. This means that I bear the primary responsibility for developing the car’s suspension system. Our finest task at suspension is making sure the car stays planted and maintains optimal mechanical grip at all times. We focus on vehicle dynamics and plan to use both hand calculations and computer software to design and optimize the suspension of the car.
BSc Electrical Energy Technology
As the lead of the electrical department I manage the design and development of all car electrical systems, both high and low voltage, covering the powertrain, controls, and safety. Responsibilities include overseeing battery package design, managing communications and daily operations, and handling technical aspects like motor and inverter integration.
BSc in Mechanical Engineering
I am one of the 6 founding members of the team and hold a seat on our board in addition to being the head of our Drivetrain department. Being head of Drivetrain, so far, has entailed a lot of studying what other teams have done, and working on their design ideas to fit our race car. Even though, simply reading about what others have done isn’t the goal of our team, it has still been an interesting, aside from educational, experience and we’re slowly and steadily getting to a point where we can start making a first iteration of our drivetrain design.
BSc in Mechanical Engineering
My role within the team is serving as the head of the chassis department. In the chassis department, my responsibilities include determining the tasks necessary for the completion of a finished chassis, encompassing both design and manufacturing aspects. Additionally, as the team leader, my task involves facilitating communication with other departments to ensure seamless integration of everyone’s work, as if assembling Legos. As a leader, I strive to engage my fellow team members actively, working together to collectively determine the best solution. In instances of disagreement within the team, I make the final decision based on the arguments presented by team members.
